We were on our way to Austin when Matt felt the Lord prompting him to go to Waco. We didn’t know anyone in Waco, but pulled in on Tuesday night anyway! Our sister-in-law put us in touch with a friend of hers who lives here and goes to a church in Waco that was hosting a prayer service on Wednesday night. We were blessed to be able to go and be a part of that powerful night!

We weren’t sure exactly what God had us here for, and wondering if being a part of that service was it, we made the decision to head to Austin after that. However, on our way there we discovered a problem with the bus’ suspension system. Only one side of the bus was raising and we were driving down the road totally crooked! It was NOT fun- I realized I had taken for granted the amazing air ride system we have in the bus! We turned around to get back to Waco and pulled into a local Walmart. Matt called a mobile mechanic who came out but could not figure out why the bag was not inflating. Matt shared Jesus with the mechanic and prayed with him- he was so appreciative! We now had no idea what we were going to do. With limited funds and no real connections out here we took our lifeline (prayer!) seriously.

Matt shared with a brother in Tennessee that we were in Waco and he told him about a fellowship of Believers that he had met briefly on a trip once. We decided to go to church there on Sunday. Matt had been reaching out to RV parks, including the one we had stayed at already, but wasn’t hearing back from any, so we left our bus at Walmart and went to church. At the end of the service a lady introduced herself and to make a long story short, the miracles and blessings have not stopped since that moment!

We ended up going out to lunch with a family who offered to let us stay at the church’s RV area (this ministry owns a lot of acreage and many of the families live on the property). They invited us to a mustang event on the property that night…yes, that would be the horse mustang! And while there we met several other families- including a man who is a diesel mechanic!

That man came to our bus the next morning and took off tires and examined the airbag. He saw that it was torn and leaking and needed to be replaced. Matt contacted Van Hool and found out that the parts cost much more than we had available so we again went to prayer. The next day the men who were doing the repairs were at a job site waiting for a part to come in, so they began to look at the airbag that they had taken out of our bus. The bottom line is, it didn’t even look like the same part! There was no tear and it was holding air! They came back the next day, put it in, and the bus is raising and lowering perfectly! They charged SUCH a small amount for their labor and everything is put back together. This was such an amazing miracle!

Since then we have been to dinner at someone’s house, had someone else over, met many people and heard their stories, and are about to head out to a prayer fellowship in a little bit! We thank God for directing us here and taking care of all of our needs.

We have some thoughts about where/how God wants to use us, but will confirm with Him before talking about it here 🙂

As an added benefit, we have been able to see some incredible Texas beauty!
