What an amazing time (Round 1!) we had in Texas! By the time we left Waco we felt like we were leaving family.

From Sister Corrie who introduced us to people and got the ball rolling, to Moses and Anna and their precious family we just fell in love with, to Simeon who fixed our bus and gave us some delicious elk, to Brian and Abbey and kids who took us out for pizza and found us a place to stay, to Batyah who spoke Hebrew with Leah and talked with her about Israel, to Robert who took Micah to his wood shop to create things, to Rory and Becca who had coffee with us and encouraged us a lot, to Richie and Christine and Lucy who shared their land with us and made us a super tasty breakfast, to Ivar who walked to the barn with Micah to milk cows, to Joel who gave us a tour of the mustang arena and offered to take us on a trail ride, to sweet Arlene who shared with us that at 78 years old was so happy to be a new part of that community of believers and was planning to live out the rest of her life there, to Mark and Bessie and their wonderful family who gave us a pizza party and made us feel incredibly welcomed…. Visiting brothers and sisters we didn’t even know we had was so sweet and we could understand on a whole new level Jesus’ desire “ that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” (John 17:21) We will be going back there in January, Lord willing!

Another bonus to being in Waco was finding out that a friend from 2,000 miles away that I had not connected with in a very long time just “happened” to be in Waco the same time that we were there! We got to meet up a couple of times and not only catch up, but pray together and encourage each other in the truth. It was a real highlight of my time there!

While we were in Waco, we got a call from a brother we had never met near Austin. He asked if we could come there and meet his family and spend time with them- and we did. And we are SO GLAD we did! God is doing such a work in their family and we will be coming back there to spend more time with them. Our kids enjoyed hanging out with their kids, so it really was a win win!

We left Texas and headed to South Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with our son Drew and Matt’s parents. We did most of our cooking on Wednesday and got to really enjoy Thanksgiving Day with family.

The bus BARELY fit in the driveway and I can’t say enough how impressed I am with Matt’s driving skills!

Our next stop is Connecticut to be with our married kids and grand kids for Christmas. After that we will go to Kentucky and then back to Texas! Each place we have been has brought so many chances to share Jesus as well as discipleship opportunities. We are really enjoying the life God has for us now, despite the challenges. It is so worth it to us when we see people come to know the Lord and when we see Believers set free from lies they have believed for so long that have negatively impacted their effect on the kingdom of God. We want to see the kingdom of God advanced and His children walking in love and unity like He desires!

“for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13
